Finance minister says Russia seizes control of unscrupulous foreign firms
MOSCOW, Nov 7 (PRIME) – The Russian government supports foreign companies, the cases of external management iare rare and for unscrupulous firms only, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Tuesday.
"We must emphasize that this happens in extreme cases when companies do not fulfill their obligations, including social, or violate the Russian legislation," Siluanov said commenting on introduction of external management in foreign companies.
Russia earlier assigned the Federal State Property Management Agency to manage an 83.73% stake in Unipro owned by the German government through Uniper, a 98.23% interest in Fortum's Russian unit, stakes in Danone Russia and Baltika, part of Carlsberg Group.
